Sam Sessions Blog
The season for Sam Sessions is back! With the weather getting warmer and Boston Calling just a few weeks away, it’s time for us to prepare for Sam Sessions! As a proud partner of Boston Calling, we like to kick off the weekend with an exciting mini festival of our own showcasing local talent the Thursday before Boston Calling. After our third year, we find that the festival is a great way to get some neighbors and Sam lovers together to enjoy live music, beer, and the warmer weather in our outdoor Beer Garden. Join us on May 22nd from 5-9PM to celebrate!
In collaboration with Boston Calling, we proudly release Stage Hopper, a dry-hopped Pilsner that pairs perfectly with live music. Savor this earthy, herbal, and slightly sweet lager while enjoying performances at Sam Sessions. With an ABV of 4.5%, this incredibly light beer is designed to be refreshing and not overly filling, allowing you to enjoy a couple pints. You can find Stage Hopper at the Sam Adams Boston Brewery, the Downtown Taproom, and all weekend long on festival grounds at Boston Calling!
Join us for Sam Sessions to sip on some Stage Hopper and cheer on six local acts performing back-to-back in the Beer Garden. Starting with Woundikin, this artist brings a folksy indie sound that really encapsulates the New Englander vibe. We’ll have foamflower next sending us to the stars with their dreamy pop tunes. Raspberry Jam will keep the pop vibes going with feel good bedroom and indie pop! Then we're switching gears to some funk. Janey Bombay covers a range of genres, putting a funk spin on each one! Shifting gears even more, we’ve got Yellow, a DIY math rock band coming from Berklee, there to pump us up for that seventh inning stretch for our final performance. FM Collective is a Latin hip-hop group that will get us dancing for the rest of the night!
